Ron Potts Sr.
I began my apprenticeship in 1962 with The Ontario Minnesota Pulp and Paper Company, and received my Industrial Technicians Degree in 1966 after completing my 5 year apprenticeship.
I worked in the pulp and paper sector until 1970, earning my Journeyman’s Certificate in 1967 and my Inter-provincial Electrical Certificate in 1971. After moving to Vernon BC in 1971, I spent 2 years working in the plywood and sawmill industry. I spent the following 6 years working for B.C. Hydro as a Project Controller on sub-stations and control stations, aquiring my high voltage training up to 230kv.
In 1979 I acquired a position in the dairy industry where I spent the next 25 years working as Maintenance Foreman. During this time I wrote my Masters Contractors License and Class A Unrestricted License. In 2004 I upgraded my code certifications and formed an Electrical Contracting Company (R&R Electric Ltd.) with my son Ron Jr.We have been servicing the residential, commercial and industrial sectors ever since.

My Electrical trade journey began in 1992 in my home town of Vernon B.C. I achieved my Red Seal trade qualification in 1996, my Alberta Master Electrician Certificate in 2004 and my Contractors Certification in B.C in 2005.
My career has taken me all over B.C and Alberta, offering valuable experience in many aspects of the Electrical trade ranging from single family homes to high-rise buildings and industrial settings. I have performed electrical service and installations in many facets of this industry, performing electrical work as a Journey person, a Foreman, a Project Manager and now as a proud owner.
R&R Electric was formed in 2004 with my father in Kamloops.
We are privileged to serve the Cities of Kamloops and Vernon, along with all the communities in-between.
